Forest YMCA provides support and accommodation to vulnerable homeless people between the ages of 16 and 30. We give our residents a safe place to live and access to a range of services designed to help them achieve their full potential and ulitmately, their independance.

"As well a place to live, Forest YMCA gave me the opportunity to gain work experience. Thanks to them, I am now a qualified gym instructor and am hoping to enrol on a university course." Mohammed, Forest YMCA Resident

Sadly, many of our residents have experienced physical and sexual abuse; family breakdown and poverty. Some have been, 'in care', were dependent on drugs or alcohol, or have mental health issues. Whatever their circumstances, we are here to offer them 'hope and a home' when they need it most.

£500 Could furnish a room with a desk, chair, storage cabinet and lamp giving a resident a private area to study

We also provide a range services for local residents. We operate affordable after and before school childcare programmes, as well as providing free and subsidised youth clubs for around 300 teenagers every year. We also offer affordable gym membership and a restaurant which is a hub for the local community.

We want to provide a brighter, happier future for our residents and local community. But we can only do this with your support.
